Burning, Melting & Diffuser Basics
Trim the wick!
Before you light your candle, make sure the wick has been trimmed to 1/4 inch. Also trim the wick to 1/4” before each subsequent burn, and always be sure to trim any “mushrooming” (carbon buildup) from the tip of the wick before each burn.
Get an even burn
To get the most from each candle, be sure to keep it burning until the wax has melted an even layer.
Keep away from drafts
Place your lit candles in areas that don’t have a lot of air movement. The more air flow (fans, vents, opening/closing doors), the higher likelihood of developing black residue on the glass.
Using wax melts
The wax may stick to the mold due to the high percentage of fragrance oil in the melts; use a metal spoon or knife to scrape out any wax that sticks to the mold and simply wipe wax off the utensil with a paper towel.
Reed diffusers
Fragrance is produced when the liquid absorbs up the reeds. Flipping the reeds over frequently will keep the scent the strongest. You will smell the scent best in small, enclosed spaces like a bathroom or small bedroom.
